Many people look for a holiday without cooking or preparing food - but other families look ahead to address special holiday if they are not at home. Some families have prepared special dietary needs and food needs - even on holiday.

When I designed my first big vacation a few years ago I had children with special needs. We also decided that eats like a long vacation, and food for every meal would be prohibitively expensive. Did moreSense for me to cook more and enjoy a longer holiday.

We had planned to Traverse City, Michigan, a two-day trip has been headed, where we lived. I knew I needed to have food prepared for the entire journey, because we were not able to fast-food chains or restaurants to eat on the road.

This is the system that I developed a great road trip and vacation, where I knew I needed to plan meals:

First, determine how many days you will be on the road, andDecide the number of meals needed. Some families prepare all meals, some just want to prepare for lunch. They prefer to eat breakfast and dinner in a restaurant on the road. You decide what your family.

Do not forget the snacks, especially when traveling with children. When traveling, usually plan a break every two hours. We have a small snack at each stop who did not eat a meal. We also have something to drink - cold milk or water (or coffee for the driver). MyFamily moves to prevent your child to drink in the street, so they must go to the bathroom too often.

Once decided the number of meals and snacks, is on the road need, it's time to determine which foods you need to take. Go with the size of your eyes Cool - What to do to adapt to cool. Some of your food, as the mix of tracks and other snacks do not need to go cool, but you can also have a picnic or a reusable shopping bag forKeep all these things and plates and cups together.

Watch your favorite foods family and decide which potentially easy for travel. Sandwiches are always good, and you can put the fortifications and the bread and rolls together. Roll up tortillas and sandwiches with mounting are another good thing. Trail mix, dried fruit, nuts (such as bananas and it is), cheese cubes or string cheese making, dried meat and other foods are good for easySnacks.

My family has always fruit salad in a journey that is easy to prepare and maintain enjoyed in a plastic container. Mixed salad bags can be bought, or you can break a head of lettuce and then buys to be yourself in a resealable pouch bag. Add salad fixings like meats, cheeses, nuts, eggs, etc. right into your pocket or in separate baggies if you need tailor-made salads for each family member. Bring a bottle of salad dressing.

We always bought a gallon of milkand united to cool. We carry many gallons of water and put them only by car. We serve snacks and milk with water during meals.

plastic dishes, re-sealable bags, disposable tableware, paper towels and disposable glasses make clean-up easy. Just throw everything when you're done. Make sure you bring enough for each meal. If you have something like salad or fruit salad you need tools you want, do not forget. Sandwiches and wraps, obviously, is not necessarythem.

Look through books on family holidays with children for other travel-friendly recipes. With some 'planning ahead a little work before you travel you can have a healthy, easy to travel that suits everyone in the family.
