GreenFest Chicago

A demonstration of the bike-powered generator Discovery Channel "Planet Green" was shown. Shown to GreenFest 18th May 2008 at Navy Pier in Chicago, here each cyclist is turning a Macintosh computer and monitor. The rear wheel produces energy from AC power inverters. Many people asked me where they can get plans for something similar. Here are some links that I gathered: full (expensive) kit from the video: tinyurl.com a free version: pedalpowergenerator.com pedalGenerator, with plans, the UK DIY beauty: www.gotwind.org Use a blower motor for a cheap car to make a bicycle generator: tinyurl.com strapless a guy with a plan.
